Here are the promised pictures and videos.

Dad in a shirt that Mike found at the thrift store.

With nanny Kendell!

Many attempts at a "cousins in matching outfits" photo.
1.) Charlotte falling over.

2.) Charlotte losing it.

3.) Charlotte being distracted with pacifier.

4.) Adeline being distracted with balls (Charlotte looking very serene).

5.) Adeline sharing her ball.

The best one.

Bathing beauty.

(Megan: I did a lot of shoddy sewing to get that hat to fit her. Sorry.)

I think she looks like such a debutante in this picture.

Here is a video of Charlotte with her giraffe hat on. I think she looks like a little chipmunk and at one point in the video, I envision her pleading with a woodland creature not to eat her.

We weighed Charlotte on the kitchen scale in a steamer pan. It was surprisingly accurate.

Total Weight Watchers weight loss: 1.2 lbs. (a slightly disappointing start, but a loss nonetheless.)

Sorry for the serious lack of updating, but we've had a string of visitors and now family camp with a bunch of my favorite families, so I've been pretty busy at camp... and you know, with a baby.

Charlotte went on her very first run with me in the jogging stroller today and she LOVED it! (And by "LOVED" it, I mean that she sat in the stroller and didn't cry. What six week old's love is anybody's guess at this point). Isn't it so fun that Charlotte "LOVES" all of the same things that I love?! Going to Starbuck's, going for runs, watching TLC- she's my kind of gal!

I also didn't think that I could love Charlotte any more, but that was before I saw her wearing an array of hats with ears on them! This week she has already been a bear and a pink giraffe! Pictures and video forthcoming...

My mom came to visit for a couple of days, so yesterday we packed up Charlotte (and all of her stuff- a lot!) and headed up to Marquette. Charlotte had many firsts including her first time in a restaurant, her first (of several times) time being changed in a public bathroom, and MOST importantly, her first trip to Starbuck's! She LOVED it!

While we were in Marquette, we obviously went to Target. When I was there about two months ago, I saw an ice cream maker for $25 and my friend, Alicia, had been raving about making homemade ice cream, so I put it in my cart, but decided at the last minute that I couldn't spend $25. Yesterday my mom and I found a rack of summer stuff that was 75% off and the ice cream maker was on it!!! I got it for $6.24!!!!!! What a steal!!!!!

This is a picture of Charlotte just waking up. Like I said earlier, her wake-up faces are my favorite. It's sort of hard to tell in the picture, but this is a kissy face. And I do just want to kiss those little lips!

Charlotte turned one month this week! She already seems so much bigger to me, even though most people who see her for the first time think she is so tiny. At her last doctor's visit she weighed in at 7 lbs, 7 oz and grew to 20 inches. We are so excited that she can almost ride in the Baby Bjorn (babies need to be 8 lbs. to do so)! It's small, unexciting milestones at this point.

We are still just crazy about her. She makes me laugh in the middle of the night with her crazy wake-up, stretching faces. Which is good, because every mom could use a laugh at 4 in the morning, when being woken up against her will.

This was my original idea for her monthly photo, but two problems arose. As you can see by my hand awkwardly on the back of her head, trying to hold her up, it will be hard for a few months getting her to sit in the chair. She also just fits in the chair now, so in a year she will be towering over it.

So here's what we opted for instead. Doesn't that chair make her look miniature?

And I realize that this video might be long and potentially boring to some, but it's for the grandma who won't stop harassing me via email... you know who you are. Please notice Charlotte's bear booties at the end of the video.

I am totally completely in love with this girl. Poo to all the people who told me I would "never sleep" or to "just wait" in some threatening tone. She is perfect. And even if she wasn't, I wouldn't care anyway, because I am in love with being a mom, so take that. She is laying on a blanket beside me, happy as a clam, and has been doing so for the last HOUR. Like I said, she is perfect.

I can't believe that I forgot to document Megan's visit! We had so much fun together (aside from frequent sick visitors to the infirmary). I didn't take very many pictures, apparently, but here are the two I DID take:

Auntie Megan!

Wearing the swimsuit Auntie Megan bought her. (We didn't actually go swimming, we just sweated a lot).

When we first bought our camera, I warned Kyle, "I just want you to know, that I'm going to take like a million pictures of our baby, just so you know." As promised:

Charlotte is definitely growing. I feel like she just keeps stretching longer and longer. As a result, I keep getting to dig up new outfits that fit her now. Like these cutie overalls!

It looks like she's smiling here, but I don't think she really is.

This weekend, my dad, step-mom, sisters, and brother came up to visit us (mostly Charlotte). We had a blast! Thanks so much for feeding us and cleaning up after us and being so fun! Get ready for, like, a million pictures...

Kyle came into the living room and found the kids watching tv looking a little bored, so he took them above our garage and rigged up this rope and the three of them just crashed around on the mattresses and had a blast.

Even Aunt Betty dropped by to see Charlotte!
